			<description><![CDATA[why do non-catholics always think catholics do not read and focus on the bible enough.    honestly it seems we really don't and as i grew up in the church, it was not something that was taught as thoroughly as my non-catholic friends.  the catholic church does not have bibles in pews as do other churches.   i would appreciate some answers to this.

			<description>It’s common for non-Catholics to insist that what Catholics believe contradicts Scripture. While some of what the Catholic Church teaches may be not be EXPLICITLY found in Scripture, this does not mean that it “contradicts”.



First off, we should define “contradict”.



Contradict = to assert the contrary or opposite of



So, just because something is not explicitly mentioned in Scripture doesn't mean it is contradicting it.
