Cancer Surgery

Post by BillC on Thu Feb 28, 2008 2:39 pm

So, I am asking for all of your prayers for my sister...On Monday (3/3) she will be having surgery for breast cancer and then treatment to follow. She seems to be doing really well spiritually and emotionally with this, so I guess what she mostly needs is prayer for success of surgery and treatment...if it be God's will of course. Maybe include her husband and son for their strengthening through this time also.

thanks much in advance...bill

So sorry to hear about your sister! I'll keep the whole family in my prayers.

Thank you for the prayers. The surgery is at 1430 to day. I went over the hill Saturday with my mom and another sister and we spent the day with her and her husband. They are holding up quite well under the circumstances. I'll keep all'a'ya'll posted on how it goes.

So, the surgery seems to have gone well. It is not yet determined whether there will be kemo or radiation...should know that after awhile.
So, thanks for your prayers very much!!!

Scientists have conducted studies that seem to suggest that prayer works. Of course, Christians didn't need a scientist to tell us that!
God bless!

So true!!! The old ladies at my Church prayed me out of my deathbed after a really bad motorcycle accident many years ago...And, Fr. Corapi always says it's the old ladies praying the rosary that saved him from his corrupt lifestyle. Praying

I truly believe that it was 25 years of my family praying for me that brought about my conversion. The Lord started tugging at my heart and I could not deny the desire to get to know Him. Little did my family know that I would become a Catholic!
My brother had a unique conversion this Christmas. He was driving and listening to "The Little Drummer Boy" on the radio when the tears burst forth (he said he hadn't cried in years) and his complete surrender to Jesus ensued. Please remember Paul in prayer, as he still does not have a church home. I advised him to check out Catholicism, of course, but he hasn't felt that call as of yet.
