Below is a copy of the letter I sent to my 3 protestant sisters. It was very well received.
I just wanted to share it with you all as a template in case you need an ice breaker of your own.

Dear Pat, Barb and Sarah,
I am going to go
waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy out on a limb and point you to a website
that I would ask you to prayerfully consider visiting.
I love you completely and wholeheartedly and if I did not write this email to you, I would actually be loving you less.
I am compelled beyond myself to share it with you.
You are among the most beautiful and precious women of God that I know. But
we
were not properly catechized in our youth. Vatican 2 swept in with such
change that is 'blew ' the veils off the nuns, extinguished the light
of true faith in the Eucharist and totally wrecked our understanding of
what the Catholic church really believes and teaches.
Do not forget, I too left the Catholic church for 10 very happy years. I had to learn to love Jesus as Lord and Savior as a protestant, before I could recognize Him in
Holy Communion.
Everyone who leaves the Catholic church, leaves for what they think they know about the Church. If you really knew what the Catholic church believed and taught, you would be amazed.
Do not let any one person in your past dictate to you how you now feel about the
Faith of our Fathers. They had feet of clay and those "shepherds scattered the sheep". They will be held accountable.
But you must know what the Catholic church authentically professes and witnesses to and has for 2000 years. It is critical that you know this.
I do not doubt your salvation in Jesus one bit, as I know you do not doubt mine.
But your understanding of what I believe, of what I came back 'home to Rome' to,
of what Mom and Dad raised us as, of what you have left is vital.
The website to see is www.catholicscomehome.org
I
understand the proposition of what I am presenting to you is huge!!!
But I would have to face God with the knowledge of not telling you, and
face dire consequences.
Please know I love you so dearly.
Your sister,
Jeanne

Re: Check out this website!
This sounds great! Full of love and concern for the "fullness" they are missing but acknowledging their love for Jesus!
Love it!
Isn't that website awesome? I absolutely love it.
I'm sure I will refer to this letter in the future.

Good book for those who have left the Church
Hi Jeanne,
I just wanted to recommend the book I'm Not Being Fed: Discovering the Food that Satisfies the Soul by Jeff Cavins. This might be a good book for your sisters.
God bless!
Cindy
